"We played well and that made it easy. I think the team has been getting better for a while now," he added. "We need that kind of performance to find complete belief again.
"We are getting consistent again and even without Kolo Toure and Sol Campbell, we still managed to keep a clean sheet against a Middlesbrough team with quite a good striking force."
And on Thierry Henry:
"Thierry has equalled Cliff Bastin's record but how far can he go? That is the question mark. Where will he stop? I would like to see the name of the next one who will beat him.
"It is difficult to say whether I have seen him play better. He was sharp today as was the whole of team going forward.
On Reyes:
"Jose Reyes did not score but I give him a lot of credit. He was involved in four or five of the goals because of the quality of his passing. What is good is that it looks to me as though the team has found the way we want to play the game again."
On Cole:
"Ashley has a slight fatigue point on his thigh but he should be okay. We will see how he is over the next few days. He had only one training session on Friday and it was a bit early to throw him in. But considering we were dominating the game it wasn't a bad one for him to play in."
