He said after the game: "Our confidence is back. It takes two or three games but we are back to our best. It is important to be up there at the top of the Premiership because two weeks ago before the Fulham game we were seven points behind Liverpool. But it is a long race."
"I thought it was an outstanding team performance. We looked sharp, concentrated and calm. We were very mobile and created chance after chance. We had to be patient and professional when they went down to ten men and we waited to kill them off."
He eulogised about Thierry Henry's fabulous solo first-half goal, saying:
"Thierry scored a world class goal. It is a very special goal when you take the ball from the edge of your box and score. At this level you need special powers and special strengths. He needed that goal because although he did not have a dip in his performances recently he had a dip in his goalscoring record. But I expect so much from him, and he makes the pitch look small when he has the ball."
