"Overall we played collectively well with a great spirit after there was a question mark over the unity of our spirit in the camp and they gave the right response on the pitch. It was important to show that we had no problem with that. I think the performance of Lauren and Vieira were outstanding today.
"It was a great team performance, we needed to be patient, did not get frustrated and we kept the quality of our passing going."
He went on to talk about the contribution of Thierry Henry, saying:
"He realises so quickly what is happening and gives the right technical response to the situation he faces. I don't feel that it is difficult to do the backheel, it is difficult to analyse the thing to do. I feel that he is not only a goalscorer, but also a provider. He turns up everywhere on the pitch and can create something.
"We have others too, like Dennis Bergkamp, Reyes, Freddie, all of whom can provide as well as score. That is our strength. Our problem is to make the teams come out. When you win the ball, you feel you can be dangerous because we are quick to come out.
"I feel that the competition in the Premiership will be very tight and interesting. We are on a good run at the moment, so it gives us good confidence. The other test will be against the big teams."
