"It's a day they'll never forget and they can be proud as they've shown great resilience and great fitness" said the Boss. "I was surprised at how fit they were as they never dropped physically and that's never easy with 10 men against these players. They never gave up.
"You never know quite what to expect but you want your team to be professional and do the job."
He also remarked upon the performance of Francis Jeffers, who had a good game today:
"I think he has stepped up a level and although there is a big competition in there of top-level players, he's getting very close. He's improving from game to game and his movement is exceptional. He could have scored more but he is always in a position to score goals and that's the most important thing."
