Paddy Galligan
Arsenal Football Club and its followers have experienced several sad losses this summer, one of these was the loss of Patrick Galligan. Paddy was part of the magic that made Highbury so unique and was one of those faces that everyone, from the stewards and catering staff to Thierry Henry and Arsene Wenger, knew on a first name basis. At 66 years of age, he's now in that Clock End in the sky and to celebrate his life and thank him for 28 years of outstanding service, we're asking Arsenal fans to do a rendition of "Bejesus Said Paddy" from when the ball rolls off the centre circle on Saturday at 3pm. Paddy will no doubt be mentioned in the pubs before kick off against Villa so please mention this tribute and let's say a final thank you to someone who gave the club so much more than he got back.
Rocket
As for every home game this season, we will have full use of The Rocket (166-220 Holloway Rd, opposite Paddy Power). Doors open at midday throughout the afternoon and after the match until late where we'll screen the Sheffield United vs Liverpool match at 12:45 and the Bolton vs Spurs match at 17:15. We'll be featuring a DJ, beer promos and a raffle so pass by and check it out! At the moment, we are redrawing the license with Islington council with a view to allowing in under-18s so people can bring their kids down. We're also negotiating for midweek games so at the moment, we don't have The Rocket for Champions League games, League Cup games or league games. We hope to resolve this by October.
