He says:

"I never had any doubts about this team but we have discovered more about ourselves in the last week. There were some difficult moments after we lost to Manchester United in the FA Cup and then Chelsea in the Champions League.

"We needed to get more focused because even though we'd had a run of winning games and played quite well we had lost our momentum. Then we lost a couple of matches and people were asking questions.

"We talked about it. But what is so fantastic about this team is that everybody looks at himself and realises what he has to do to give his best. That is how we were able to pick ourselves up. It's like a big family at Highbury and I am proud to be the captain of the club.

“Of course, we know how good we are together and that we can play fantastic football, but when we are on the pitch nobody cheats or makes excuses. Everybody works for each other.

“In the dressing room the atmosphere is fantastic and we have a great time off the pitch because we realise it is important to be together.

“That's what got us through against Newcastle on Sunday. Physically, we were tired after four games in nine days but we worked for each other. We have been under pressure in so many games, but we love it because it means we are doing well.”
