The Telegraph are reporting that Liverpool will take advantage of contract stalls at Arsenal with a bid in January for the England forward ? or even offer a pre-contract agreement to ward off interest from Manchester City.
Walcott is desperate to play as a centre forward ? and with Liverpool severely lacking in goals this season it seems a perfect fit. Along with the fact that Theo Walcott himself is a life long Liverpool fan.
A forward with blistering pace and an eye for goal ? similar to Michael Owen, Walcott would inject a sense of pace into the side which will contemplate the creativity of Suarez, Gerrard and Sahin to great effect.
Theo Walcott is currently on ?60,000 a week at Arsenal ? and is looking for an increase to ?100,000 a week along with a role down the centre of Arsenal's three man attack.
Arsenal will listen to offers of ?11million for Walcott ? but are mindful of how is sale will look to apposing teams and fans. Having lost Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Robin van Persie recently ? the sale of Walcott may have a negative impact on the teams morale.
However, if Arsenal can get up to ?10million minimum for a player who has had six mixed years at Arsenal and in the final year of his contract ? it may be seen as a good bit of business from the Arsenal board.
