Hull City v Arsenal - Player Ratings

Last updated : 19 January 2009 By Luis Anaconda

A much improved performance with Robin van Persie pulling the string and the continuation of a promising unbeaten run. Not all so gloomy now is it?

Manuel Almunia - 7 - More commanding than his usual self, but still a couple of breakdowns in communication with his back four.

Bacary Sagna - 7 - Typically solid display.

Kolo Toure - 7 - More like the Kolo of old.

Johan Djourou - 7 - A mixed bag, but it's hard not to notice an improvement in our defending since Johan has become a regular.

Gael Clichy - 5 - An improvement that hasn't stretched to young Gael, who had a wretched time.

Emmanuel Eboue - 6 - Lively in the first half, but with little end product.

Denilson - 7 - Steady if unspectacular - showed he is prepared to do the dirty work.

Abou Diaby - 7 - For the first time in ages actually looked like a central midfielder who could dominate the game (in parts of least). Ended on the left wing of course.

Samir Nasri - 7 - Frustrating at times and quite possibly frustrated out on the wing, but won the the game with a wonderful finish.

Emmanuel Adebayor - 7 - Great improvement on recent weeks, with hard work and a great goal.

Robin van Persie - 9 - Outstanding player on the pitch, deserved better for his stunning free kick, but made the difference nevertheless.

Subs:

Nicklas Bendtner - 8 - Made a good impact on the right.

Alex Song - n/a - Nice little run out.
