2 goals from Mesut Ozil, Arsenal’s biggest signing of the summer and possibly one of the best central midfielders in the world, 1 goal from Aaron Ramsey, who now has 9 goals in all competitions this season and doesn’t look to be slowing down, and 1 goal from Jack Wilshire who has now scored a goal in his last two games. Jack’s goal could go down as one of the best goals of the season, with classic Arsenal one-touch football and Wilshire’s sublime weak-footed finish in to the bottom left corner. Nothing seems to be stopping the Gunners as they have now gone 12 consecutive games without a defeat.
The first goal came in the 18th minute, with quick passing from Cazorla, Giroud, and Wilshire. Giroud and Wilshire connected with a quick give and go through tight defense and Wilshire finished with a classy finish in to the bottom left corner to give the Gunners a 1-0 lead.
Arsenal went into halftime with a 1-0 lead but that soon turned into a 2-0 lead with an Ozil header in the 58th. Once again, Olivier Giroud was involved, finding Ozil who made a darting run from beyond the half-way line to knock the ball into the bottom left corner with his head. It was his first goal for Arsenal in the Premier League.
Jonathan Howson responded for the Cannaries with a well hit shot into the bottom right corner, after the cross took a deflection off of center back, Per Mertesacker.
13 minutes later, in the 83rd minute, Aaron Ramsey received a pass from Wilshire in the box. He made a couple quick cuts that saw the Norwich defenders slide to the ground and ripped a shot passed the Norwich keeper, John Ruddy.
And 5 minutes later, Ozil struck again. This time, Tomas Rosicky found space outside the box and crossed the ball towards the far post. Aaron Ramsey tapped it back for Ozil who finished it beautifully.
Arsenal now sits atop of the Premier League with 19 points, 2 points clear of Liverpool and Chelsea. The Gunners face off with Borussia Dortmund this week in Champions League play and then go on the road to Selhurst Park, where they’ll face off against Crystal Palace in the 9th game of the Premier League campaign.
