The 20-year-old midfielder has not played since February when he damaged cruciate ligaments during his loan spell at Wolves.
Now nearly seven months on, Frimpong expects to be back in full training within two weeks - which means he should be playing by the end of the month.
The Ghana-born ace, Tweeted the news, saying: "I will be back in full training with the squad on 17th on this month. Two cruciate knee injuries couldn't end my career. It's been a long 7 months [sic]."
The news will be a big boost to Arsene Wenger who is sure to introduce Frimpong back into his first-team squad.
