Blackburn Rovers v Arsenal - Player Ratings

Last updated : 16 September 2008 By Luis Anaconda

Manuel Almunia -7 - Despite Blackburn's pressure, he wasn't overworked but dealt calmly with everything thrown his way.

Bacary Sagna - 6 - Given a few hairy moments, but otherwise solid.

Kolo Toure - 7 - Two vital pieces of last-ditch defending and unlucky not to score.

William Gallas - 6 - A subdued performance from our leader, though after two tough internationals, he perhaps deserves the benefit of the doubt. Partnership with Toure still gives cause for concern.

Gael Clichy - 6 - Far from the immaculate Clichy, but still reliable at the back.

Emmanuel Eboue - 7 - He plays on the left, he plays on the right, Manu Eboue - you know he's not… A prize to anyone who can complete the song.

Denilson - 8 - One his best games in an Arsenal shirt, he was creative and competitive, and managed to outshine his senior partner.

Cesc Fabregas - 7 - Subdued but still classy.

Theo Walcott - 8 - Took his England form into the game and particularly impressed with his incisive passing.

Emmanuel Adebayor - 7 - Not often a hat-trick scorer is overshadowed. Took his goals well and worked hard.

Robin van Persie - 8 - Sublime at times and left the pitch fit at least.

Substitutes:

Alexandre Song - 7 - Steadying influence.

Jack Wilshere - n/a - How young?

Aaron Ramsey - n/a - Nice assist - seems to have settled in well.
