He was visibly elated at the result, saying: "I'm very proud of my players and the spirit and quality they showed. After we'd lost 3-0 at home, who'd have predicted we'd come here and win 5-1?
"Every player in every position played very well and it was enjoyable to watch because it was a real team display. If you look at the players who were out tonight, it shows the great strength we have and that the players know exactly what to do for each other.
"Thierry wanted to come off because he hurt his hamstring so I got Jeremie Aliadiere ready - but Thierry then got the ball and made the difference by scoring the third goal. Maybe he knew it would be his last action, and the third goal was the killer for Inter as 3-1 made it much easier for us.
"Thierry can score and provide. Opponents can't just push him out to the flanks because he can come inside and deliver the final ball."
