Arsenal v Hull City - Player Ratings

... my main reaction to Phil Brown is this: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Lukasz Fabianski - 8 - Brilliant save from Geovanni's free kick and positive coming from his line.

Bacary Sagna - 5 - A rare off day for the normally reliable Bacary, though Hull didn't make it too difficult for him.

William Gallas - 7 - Typically Gallas was there to make the most of the (perceived) injustice towards Hull at the end. Of course would they have been complaining if they had scored from the free kick given for a brilliantly executed tackle from Gallas in the first half for which the Frenchman was booked. Why does Mike Riley exist?

Johan Djourou - 6 - Shaky from the kick-off but gained composure as the match wore on and gained the best "non-assist" of the season.

Kieran Gibbs - 7 - Had some dodgy moments at the back, but generally sound and offered a threat going forward.

Theo Walcott - 7 - Didn't get the freedom he enjoyed against Blackburn but ensured the Hull left back was never at ease.

Alexandre Song - 6 - Always offered an outball to his teammates, but too often struggled in possession.

Abou Diaby - 7 - Another who started slowly but grew in authority to help us dominate the second half. Should have scored.

Andrey Arshavin - 8 - The liveliest of presences and instrumental in dragging us back into the game.

Carlos Vela - 5 - Couldn't get into the game and struggled with the physical Hull defenders.

Robin van Persie - 6 - Not at his best but still hit the bar, had a header cleared off the line and forced the waster of time in the Hull goal into making an excellent save before netting the equaliser.

Substitutes:

Samir Nasri - 7 - Wonderful cameo from the bench, just as our second-half efforts seemed to be petering out, Samir grabbed the game by the scruff of the net.

Nicklas Bendtner - 7 - Great persistence to set up the equaliser.

Emmanuel Eboue - 6 - Didn't do anything wrong.
