Arsenal v Everton - Player Ratings

Last updated : 21 October 2008 By Luis Anaconda

Quite possibly our worst 45 minutes of the season followed by our best. Any chance of a bit of Boring Boring Arsenal over the next month, Arsene?

Manuel Almunia - 6 - Faultless for the goal but still looks dodgy on crosses (particularly when the imbecile in the black misses obvious fouls).

Alexandre Song - 7 - As excellent in the second half, as he was poor in the first half - definitely more at home in the centre than on the right.

Kolo Toure - 5 - Looked more like he was either the debutant or out of position in a shaky 45 minutes.

Mickael Silvestre - 7 - Some nervy moments in the first half but a dominant figure in the second.

Gael Clichy - 9 - Committed to the point that he actually lost his rag for once and easily the most consistent of our players at the moment.

Emmanuel Eboue - 6 - Looked lively at times in the first half with little effect. Better in the second but a silly lunge could have been costly.

Denilson - 6 - Partially, at fault on their goal but like most of his team-mates upped his game after the break and he enables us to play at the high tempo necessary to break teams down.

Cesc Fabregas - 6 - Tried a lot that didn't come off but a key figure in the comeback.

Samir Nasri - 7 - A thorn in Everton's side with a nice knack of scoring vital goals.

Robin van Persie - 6 - Hero or villain? Missed a hatful but scored the winner. Can and will do better, though.

Emmanuel Adebayor - 5 - Just looks off the pace at the moment. Lacking confidence.

Substitutes:

Theo Walcott - 8 - It's too simplisitic to say he was responsible for the turnaround - the whole team upped a gear - but he was certainly a handful for Everton.

Abou Diaby - 7 - Welcome return.
