The Holland striker is a top target for both the Gunners and the Reds, but German news agency Der Westen says Huntelaar has agreed to extend his stay with Schalke until 2016.

Huntelaar?s current contract is due to expire at the end of the season, and Schalke have twice had offers to extend it rejected by the player and his agent, although Schalke fans will be pleased with the recent news.
That had opened the door to significant interest from both Arsenal and Liverpool, but Der Westen claims Huntelaar has now agreed a new deal, and will put pen-to-paper in the next few days.
