Arsenal have finally made a foray into the transfer market according to Sky Sports for the Brazilian defensive midfielder Luiz Gustavo.
So far in this summers transfer window Arsenal fans have voiced their frustrations at yet another season in which they believe their club have failed to strengthen. However, a rumoured £70 million war chest has so far not been used by the manager. A £17.2 million opening bid for the Brazilian may signal an end to that.
Gustavo had been a regular in the Bayern side that lost to Chelsea in the 2011/2012 seasons Champions League final. However, with the addition of Spaniard Javi Martinez last term he has found it difficult to hold down a regular starting slot. Further additions of Thiago and Mario Gotze this summer look to have signalled the end to his future at the club and Arsenal could potentially be a good fit for the player.
