Arsenal Will lodge an appeal with the F.A. over the red cards dished out to Martin Keown and Dennis Bergkamp by Mike Riley on Sunday. Arsene Wenger obviously seems convinced that both cards were unjust, however I'm not so sure - Dennis did go in with both feet whether or not he made contact with Carragher, but who can prove that there was no intent? Meanwhile Keown's card looked cut and dried to me - it was a red card offence by the letter of the law.
Arsene Wenger says: "Dennis did not touch the player and that is why we will appeal on his behalf. It is not certain, in my opinion, that Michael Owen would have got the ball because it seems as though our goalkeeper Richard Wright might well have got there before him.
"So we will be appealing about both decisions."
