February has been a month of big injuries for Arsenal. After Eduardo's horrific injury in February 2008, the same month of the 2010 saw a potential career-threatening injury for Aaron Ramsey, thus forcing him to miss nine months of football. At the time, few envisaged a return for Ramsey, but his off-field hard work and dedication saw him back in the game. Ramsey recently spoke about the difficult times he endured;
"[The injury] was a really tough thing to go through and I don't wish it upon anybody. The determination and the professionalism that you need, all the hours you have to spend in the gym, it's quite tough. It's taken me a bit longer than I would've liked, but I'm happy now where I am, and hoping to improve and carry on this good form that I'm in. I've had positive feedback from the boss."
Upon his return, a section of Arsenal supporters shared concerns about Ramsey form. Few even claimed the Arsenal man could probably never get back to his best. However, Ramsey fought through odds and criticism and this season, he is seemingly getting back to his best and has already had some outstanding performances. He has also demonstrated versatility this season, by playing in several positions (second striker, Midfield, winger, Defensive midfielder & right back). His performances have seen him earn the plaudits of manager, Arsene Wenger who was quick to acknowledge the Welsh international's efforts;
?He has a fantastic engine and fantastic qualities. If he can bring his qualities to the team play, he will be an absolutely outstanding player, which I think he will be. He takes things on board and tries to do what you ask him to do?
Ramsey, is one in the long list of young prospects at Arsenal. While he might not be the loudest player on the pitch, his workmanlike spirit is evident. Arsenal's future looks bright with Jack & Aaron forming a formidable partnership for years to come.
