Arsenal have been linked with Gonzalo Higuain before - or so we think.
There was a lot of talk about him coming to the club prior to his move to Napoli, but none of this was ever confirmed. For whatever reason he didn't arrive, and went on to ply his trade in Italy.
Now there's talk of Napoli wanting to offload him, and of course we're being linked with him again.
Their president has said: "I wish another club would buy Higuain, I’d buy eight players. No bids below that figure will be accepted, those who want the player will have to match that valuation."
Clearly there are other clubs that would want the player, but not at that price I suspect. Liverpool could well be awash with cash soon if spoilt kid Raheem Sterling departs, but crucially they can't offer Champions League football next season.
Of course Wenger will keep tight-lipped about any potential new arrivals, but Higuain is bound to tempt him.
Personally I think we're desperate for a centre half as well - could be an expensive summer!
