2002 and 2004 calendars are included, as are notable dates. Conversion information gets a look in - although it fails to mention that one win converts to three points. It includes distance tables - for planning those away days with the Gunners, and it even has world times for planning those European trips. A National Railway Map together with a London Underground map on which you will find Arsenal but not White Hart Lane are also included.
Apart from that it has some neat historical information on Arsenal for every week of the year plus it includes a short illustrated article on every two-page spread.
Here are some random samples that I've picked out to give you a rough idea:
13th October ‘My gin and tonic shall contain no gin' Herbert Chapman arranges to negotiate with Bolton over the signing of David Jack.
March ‘I still had to put the ball in the net!' Peter Storey on his all-important semi-final penalty kick.
19th March ‘George's Swedish Surprise' Anders Limpar get the big e from Mr Graham.
1st March ‘The Cockerel that crowed too early' refers to an announcer at White Hart Lane being rather presumptuous about a League Cup semi final.
24th January ‘Understudy takes Centre Stage' Manninger's Cup match at the Boro.
26th December ‘Young Gun signs but doesn't stay' refers to Charlie Buchan who was an amateur player with Arsenal but left us. He cost us a small fortune, for those days, to buy him back at a later date.
December ‘Mee signs World Cup Winner' it was Alan Ball in case you didn't guess.
5th November ‘Arsenal gets its own tube station' as arranged by Herbert Chapman.
23rd October ‘Kanu hat-trick sinks blues' you must remember that! ‘Drake off to a flying start' Ted Drake scores 12 goals in his first 12 matches.
4th July ‘Rioch signs Dutch Master' or was it David Dein?
Ok so a diary is a diary, but this one happens to look very plush, very red and the contents are very Arsenal.
